Jake and Bobby Engel raised a total of $495. for the Special Olympics again this year (2018) in the very cold Atlantic Ocean.

Congratulations and a big thank you to both of you.

Prachi Shah, our District 12 Committeewoman reached her goal of 24 hours. 
Prachi and the other dancers raised over a million dollars
in the Rutgers Dance "Embrace Kids Foundation" marathon.



Jake Engel, son of our committee couple Bobby & Gail Engel, did the unimaginable on February 20, 2016.  Please enjoy Jake's words below.
Having a Down Syndrome brother myself, I am so thankful to Jake and all the other "plungers" who raised so much money for a great cause.  My brother was a Special Olympian when he was younger and enjoyed it very much.  Thanks again!,Bonnie 

On February 20th, I plunged into the icy Atlantic Ocean (37 degrees) with 6,056 other plungers.  The event raised $1.7 million for Special Olympics New Jersey.
Because of your generosity, I personally raised $1,240.

Congratulations to our own Bob Oras who has been re-appointed by the Governor to the Board of Trustees of Middlesex County College. Bob is a Committeeman in District 10.
Ray Koperwhats, 3rd Vice Chairman Edison Republican Committee, was recently re-appointed by Governor Christie to the Edison Housing Authority. Ray is Committeeman in District 29.

Award Winning Realtor and eleven year veteran at NextAgeM3Realty, Mary Lou Resner, was recently elected by her peers and installed as director of the Middlesex County Association of Realtors.  She was first elected director in 2008 and when asked why she serves as a director for the past six years she said
"I want to be able to plan, assist and provide the tools needed for the success of our members, I want them to achieve their goals in becoming good ethical realtors".
Mary Lou is the Republican Committeewoman in District 62.
"Congratulations Mary Lou, we are proud of you" said Edison Republican Chairwoman, Sylvia Engel.


The Edison School Board has voted to move the April School Board Election to the General Election on November 3rd.   
Middlesex County College held its second ceremonial groundbreaking in 30 days as it celebrated the start of construction for South Hall, which will be a state-of-the-art science laboratory building.  ERC Vice-Chair, Bob Oras is on the MCC Board of Trustees.
Congratulations to our Committee Man & Sgt. at Arms, Brian Kolendriski, who was selected as the Parade Marshall of Middlesex County at this year's 2014 Pulaski Day Parade in New York City on October 5th.

Committee Woman (70) Gail Engel has joined the Board of Education of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School District.  She was appointed by the M. C. Board of Freeholders to a four-year term.  "We welcome her to the board," said MCVTS Board of Education President John F. Bicsko, Jr. "I'm sure she's going to be an asset, and I hope she will be with us for a long time."
